PCDI Postdoc Retreat - Life Sciences 2014

The PCDI Postdoc Retreat is a 3-day course on the career development process of final year PhD students and postdocs in the Life Sciences. Goal of this course is to increase the awareness of the broad professional development and career opportunities in- and outside academia.

Becoming successful in your work involves so much more than winning grants and building a strong publication record. Ever wondered how to exert influence or to be more effective in your work? Or... what the differences are between academia and industry and what you have to offer? Which direction to take and how to get on your way? How to position yourself and make use of your talents in a wider context of e.g. politics and society? At the PCDI Postdoc Retreat you will find out how to be the architect of your career!

Many Dutch universities and UMCs have funding arrangements (or support to identify these) for their young researchers to attend this course. Check the fee & funding page on the PCDI website.
