Berlin (European) C. elegans Meeting

Dear Worm Friends and Colleagues,

We cordially invite you to our C. elegans meeting in Berlin at the Max Delbrück Center (MDC).

In Spring 2013 Barbara Conradt and Eric Lambie initialized in Munich a regional meeting of German PIs. At this meeting a desire for a more European meeting was expressed by many PIs.

We decided for the upcoming meeting in 2014 to invite all European worm PIs and received an overwhelming feedback upon an inquiry addressing all European worm PIs. More than 150 European PIs confirmed their interest in attending the Berlin C. elegans meeting 2014, which has become now a ‘European Worm Meeting’. We are looking forward to a diverse scientific meeting with many opportunities for networking with all European worm PIs together.

It will be a great pleasure to welcome you in Berlin at the Conference Center of the MDC – the Max Delbrück Communications Center (MDC.C).
One key aim of our meeting is to bring together Scientists working on different research subjects and to promote networking and collaboration across regions and scientific disciplines. Furthermore, the attendance of many European PIs will provide the opportunity to discuss the future of a possible ‘European Worm Meeting’ (EWM) taking place on a regular basis.
