Young Life Scientists' Symposium 2013 CARDIOVASCULAR MEDICINE: Bridging clinical and basic researchers

Cardiovascular disease is currently the most common cause of death in the developed world. While many promising drug targets have been discovered, only a few molecules have been successfully translated into patients’ benefit. New translational approaches and effective communication and collaboration between researchers are necessary. The aim of the YLS2013 is to provide a unique opportunity to spread this message among the next generation of basic and clinical scientists in cardiovascular medicine.

The symposium will take place in the historic Charterhouse Square campus of Queen Mary University, located in the heart of London. With this one-day event we will bring together scientific and clinical experts as well as young scientists to emphasize translational aspects and recent advances in the field of cardiovascular disease.

If you are a young scientist, including post-docs, PhD students and undergraduates, with interest in cardiovascular medicine, you are invited to join us at this occasion to present your research and have the chance to win one of the prizes offered for poster and oral presentations. Furthermore, to help young scientists to come to this event, the registration will be free of charge and travel allowances will be offered.

In addition to an exciting scientific program, you will also get the opportunity to meet with fellow young scientists at our networking and social event, as well as enjoy the amazing city of London.

The YLS2013 is waiting for you.
