Morphogen gradients

The aim of the EMBO workshop is to bring together scientists using diverse quantitative and biophysical approaches to understand how morphogens are transported and interpreted in developing tissues. In recent years, the field has attracted biologists, mathematicians and physicists. The workshop will bridge between these disciplines to establish common understanding. In addition, there has been a revolution in the biophysical analysis of single molecules and the workshop will introduce some of these to the field.
Topics include:
Morphogen gradient establishment
Scaling and robustness precision and stochasticity
Morphogen gradient interpretation
Novel imaging approaches
Regulatory networks
