inStem Workshop on Mouse Embryology

The use of mouse genetic approaches is beginning to grow rapidly in India. The main goal of this workshop (aside from discussing exciting science!) is to bolster and accelerate this trend.
The Workshop includes a Symposium and a Practical Course. The Symposium is intended to provide an up to date review of some of the exciting advances in mouse embryology, presented within a broad historical perspective. The Symposium will be followed by a Practical Course aimed to provide complete hands-on experience in mouse genetic techniques.
+ show speakers and program
The symposium will start on Sunday 10th March 2013 in the afternoon and end on 12th evening. There will be a poster session on Monday 11th evening.
The symposium is intended to provide an up to date review of some of the exciting advances in mouse embryology, presented within a broad historical perspective. The symposium is open to 150 participants. Participants will be selected on the basis of a short abstract of their research interests. We will attempt to have a balanced representation in terms of geography and career stages, but with a slight emphasis towards those in the early stages of their career (graduate students, postdocs and young PIs).
Program:
The detailed program for the symposium will be updated soon. Broadly, research in the following areas will be covered:
Embryonic stem cells as well as germ cells
Pre-implantation mouse development
Post-implantation mouse development
Tissue patterning and organogenesis
Mouse models of human diseases
